SubCtech GmbH „Subsea Technologies for the Marine Environment“ delivers complete solutions, developed to perfectly fit your applications. Your demands can be met with optimal effectiveness and sustainability, through easy operation, ruggedness, reliability and extensibility.

SubCtech divides up into the Business Units

  • Power Solutions: Underwater Li-Ion and Li-Pol battery systems (PowerPacks). This state-of-the-art technology allows the use of maximal energy capacities on the highest level of security by multiple redundant designs. Compartments are made for up to 6000m.
  • Environmental: rough, flexible and cost-effective water anaysis such as flow-through systems (OceanPack, e.g. FerryBox) especially for pCO2 monitoring. Expandable by other sensors. Special designed for vessels, buoys, subsea applications or industrial water quality monitoring.
  • Consulting: the managing of projects and consulting for more and more complex challenges on global markets is the basis for the success of industrial, public and scientific jobs

SubCtech and it’s team is right now able to look back on 25 years of tradition in the subsea and marine technology for the industry, governments and scientific research.


SubCtech was established in Jan. 2010 in Osdorf near Kiel, Germany. The following products from Contros Systems & Solutions GmbH will be continued by contract:

  • OceanPack flow-through systems (e.g. pCO2 “underway” systems, also called FerryBox)
  • SYSTEA Nutrient analyzers with marine adaptions
  • Subsea PowerPacks e.g. Li-Ion and Li-Polymer batteries
  • SmartDI Datalogger
  • Fish-Farming equipment and projects
  • SolOceans sailing yachts equipment and projects
