OceanoScientific^®: pCO₂ on Racing Yachts

Worldwide and transatlantic sailing races are unique opportunities to regularly collect and transmit scientific data of the ocean to atmosphere interface from rarely explored areas, but usually racing yachts are a difficult platform for the deployment of the necessary instruments. Since its origin in 2005, the SolOcean One was designed as an OceanoScientific^® vessel and SubCtech’s OceanPack is one of its key elements. First offshore tests in 2009 with IFREMER, METEO-FRANCE and others were very successful.
